Moving to a new city evokes a fresh awareness of the small details in life. Often, these details make themselves felt as matter responding to heat and pressure: a vulkanizing affect. This process is instituted by different elements and activities: observing people’s everyday life, attuning to the unknown sounds of the city, experimenting with thinking structures and collective ways of organizing. What if synchronicity was to be defined as a series of coincidences? What if its thermal affect was rendered through bodies in a process of generative collision?

In this group show, fully developed in Belgrade, six artists exhibit works inspired by the thermal affect of synchronicity and coincidence.
